Law Enforcement Education Opportunities

Opportunities through positivity...

The Sheriff's Cadet program introduces young adults to the field of law enforcement and to give them a better understanding of this possible career choice.  This program also fosters responsibility in the members and gives them motivation to do well in school as well as become active community members through community service.  The group provides a positive place for our young adults to grow and socialize.

Cadets will interact with the citizens of Monroe County and will seek out opportunities to make the community a better place to live. The training that the Cadets receive will provide them a better understand what emergency responders go through on a day-to-day basis.   

One initiative of the Foundation is setting up a program in the future providing scholarships for our Cadets. Progress will continue with being able to work with Wisconsin Technical College (WTC), to add accreditation to the program, so that the cadets may earn credits, while they work towards their future goals in law enforcement, should they choose to continue down that path.

We anticipate other education opportunities becoming available to our Cadet Program as well.  These partnerships will continue to grow the program enhancing education and skill excellence for our young adults.
